About Us

Who we are and how we work

Eunjovial Ventures

Eunjovial Ventures was incorporated under the Companies Act (Cap 486) of the laws of Kenya. The company is led by its CEO and sole proprietor, Eunice Njoki Wanjiru, who also serves on the board as full-time service director and is involved in the day-to-day running of the business.

The company is divided into four divisions, each headed by a director: Finance & Administration, Sales & Marketing, Procurement & Stores, and Production & Quality Assurance.

Our business is carried out by our employees, managers and officers under the direction of the CEO and the oversight of the Directors. We review our governance principles annually, or more often when the Board considers it necessary.

Poultry

Our farm in Sipili/Laikipia County specialises in large-scale commercial layering of chickens for eggs and meat. It has four poultry houses, each with a capacity of 15,000 chickens.

Free-range

Because of high demand, we also raise free-range chickens, commonly known as Kienyeji. They can move outdoors and follow a natural growth cycle.

Feed & fruit

We process and distribute animal feeds, additives and mineral supplements, and we grow avocados and mangoes.

Why Kenya’s poultry sector

Chicken and eggs are a rich source of animal protein for millions of Kenyans. Young people make up more than 70 percent of the population and are among the highest consumers of poultry products, and Kenya’s poultry market has been growing as the population and economy grow. We believe the local poultry sector still has room to expand.

Our own start was modest. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, and we took that proverb to heart with our dream of owning and operating a large-scale broiler farming operation, starting from a backyard broiler business.
